Vergot has spent many years wandering the Northern Islands, home of the Ice People and
the Giants. From port to port he has gone, somehow knowing this is the wrong place to
search but unable to change his route. |
Among these people, he has heard many stories, but he has received no real help. |
|
|
He has come to think that they speak in riddles, that they really know much more than
they're saying but they're simply unwilling to surrender their knowledge. |

"Of course, the snake is often talked about. On warm nights, she flies over
the horizon..." |
"The snake is a myth, engendered by your pineal gland to trick
your hypothalamus into a particular kind of action..." |
|
|
"The snake is real but dangerous, find another quest to follow, the snake
will be your end..." |
"The snake is evil itself, it feeds from your desires and poisons
your thoughts. Far from searching for it, you must hide from the snake at all
costs..." |
